In the realm of the literary arts, Robert has published a book of poetry, containing a total of no less than 187 of his finely-crafted poems. Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from Syracuse University, where he studied under the same quality professors who had educated and mentored a young Joyce Carol Oates years earlier.
In the realm of musical arts, Robert has written and recorded a total of 87 original songs, contained within a total of 7 separate musical albums, released under the stage name of “Rob Raroux”. The musical styles include folk, acoustic, country, blues, rock, and instrumentals. The recordings, which were produced by Grammy-Award-winning recording engineer David Correia, boast many talented performing artists. Included on this list is the late Buddy Cage, master steel guitarist of the New Riders of the Purple Sage, who also appears on the classic Bob Dylan album, Blood on the Tracks. Included as well are guitar great Duke Robillard, former Dylan band guitarist Stu Kimball, blues harp wizard James Montgomery, and the band Rizzz, member of the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame.
In the realm of the visual arts, Robert is a devoted painter who has studied under the master Connecticut artist Shauna Shane. Robert is particularly drawn to landscapes of nature as the subject matter for his paintings.
Robert humbly accepts whatever creative abilities he possesses as a gift from God, from whom all blessings flow, and without whom nothing is possible. All praise and glory belong to Our Lord Jesus Christ.
